Gaëlle Nohant and Raffaele Genah are the winners of the 25th Literary Prize of the Association of Italian Jewish Women (ADEI-WIZO), named in memory of Adelina Della Pergola. The French writer Gaëlle Nohant won the main prize for her novel L’archivio dei destini (The archive of destinies, Neri Pozza) which tells the story of a young French archivist who tries to restore the dignity of the victims of the Shoah. Raffaele Genah won the young readers’ section with Notturno Libico (Libyan nocturne, Solferino) which deals with the tragedy of the Jews expelled from Libya in 1967. A special mention has been previously given to Eshkol Nevo, one of the most popular contemporary Israeli writers, who has won the competition several times, for the quality and intensity of his latest book, Legami, published by Feltrinelli, a collection of 20 stories “perfectly conceived and expressed through a clear and fluid writing”.
